Having played with you (Dre) in the past, I knew what level of players to expect. Deb and I were still blown away by how your funky grooves were right in the pocket. I see your next gig is on my birthday. We plan to bring the party over there since we can't have the BD Bash & Jam at my (burned) house like usual.. There will be (I hope) a contingent of strong players attending this annual event. This could be the party of the year, and I'm taking a taxi! Again, outstanding job by everyone. Joe, back where I used to live, I was sorta known as the Funkmaster General. I can see you grabbing my crown if my hand doesn't get batter soon!

Just checked your summer schedule - SO disappointed you won't be at Stonecrest this year!! Let us know if there's someone we can write to bring you back! Looks like you're all busy, though, which is great. We'll try to make it to Salisbury and Festival in the park. I pray that all is well with you and yours. The beautiful music of The Brubakers is playing as I write this message. The peaceful sound of the most talented team of brothers everyone should hear. I miss our evenings at Stonecrest, however, I will see you at Forte!!!

We very much enjoyed hearing your group play about 2-3 weeks ago at Stonecrest! You had a young man on bongo pads on stands who was so good!!! He wore a baseball hat and sat in the back. Although you all were supurb, we wondered if he could contact us (me) and if he would like to instruct our daughter (a grad student) on bongos we just bought her--we'd love to have him do it, but, if he can't, please give us a name--we can't seem to get anywhere with this one......We live in Ballantyne.
